Talent Search Contest in Every Market
San Francisco, California… August 24 2009
Famed musical showman, producer and songwriter David Foster and some of his talented friends will be embarking on a l0-city tour of “David Foster and Friends” starting in Chicago on October 21st, including a local stop at the HP Pavilion at San Jose on Friday, November 6th at 7pm. In addition to such artists as Philip Bailey from the chart-topping Earth, Wind and Fire, Oprah protégé’ Charice and American Idol’s Michael Johns, fans can expect surprise visits at every show.
Foster who has an unparalleled four decade career producing, writing, discovering and nurturing some of the greatest talents in music has added a special event to the “Foster and Friends Show” - a HIT MAN Talent Search for emerging artists that will take place in each city. Talent in each market will compete to be the next mega artist by submitting video performances to pre determined TV or radio stations in their markets. Viewers/listeners will vote for the two finalists via station websites. The two finalists get to perform with Foster in front of a live audience during the Foster and Friends Concert. The audience and Foster will choose the final winner. The winner in each city will be flown to Vancouver on November 8th for a final showdown in Foster’s home town where one winner will be crowned.
With one of Hollywood’s most impressive phone books, Foster has yet to reveal which guests might visit him on stage during the tour. “Cher and Donny Osmond both surprised me in Las Vegas so I think people won’t be disappointed. I can certainly say each show will be very special and loads of fun. You never know what’s going to happen with this much talent on stage” commented Foster who performed two sold out shows at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas recently.
Foster, a 15-time Grammy winner whose PBS Great Performances Special, “David Foster and Friends” was the highest pledged PBS show in history, will perform with his friends some of the hits that have paved the way for the many artists that he has worked with over the years including Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Michael Buble’, Andrea Bocelli, Chaka Khan, Madonna, Chicago and The Corrs. Foster recently produced Seal’s critically acclaimed, “Soul” CD, Michael Buble’s upcoming “Crazy Love” CD and a cut on Whitney Houston’s new CD. The announcement comes on the heels of the band’s three-night stand at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA last weekend. “Over a massive, four-hour set, guitarist Trey Anastasio, bassist Mike Gordon, drummer Jon Fishman and keyboardist Page McConnell ripped through dozens of crowd-favorites,” said rollingstone.com. “They kicked things off with some of their most compositionally complex tunes, from the knotted prog-funk of ‘Fluffhead’ to ‘Divided Sky,’ where the group’s quiet, mellifluous interplay of guitar, drums, bass and keys suggests they’re as well-oiled of a machine as they’ve ever been.”
The New York Times, which ran two features on the concerts, noted: “as the opening passage of the anthem ‘Fluffhead’ enveloped the room, the eruption of exultation was not merely for the band itself but also for the millions in the Phish diaspora who make up perhaps the most fervent fandom in pop music,” while USA Today said: “the foursome built the backbone of its first set on old-school material, expertly navigating hairpin changes and showing as much spunk as they ever have in this millennium.”
The band has already recorded demos of 20 new songs and will enter the studio in April to begin work on its new album with Steve Lillywhite (U2, Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band), who produced Phish’s 1996 album, Billy Breathes. The Clifford Ball, a seven-DVD box set from JEMP Records/Rhino capturing the band’s entire performance at this landmark 1996 festival, just debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Music Video chart.
Formed at the University of Vermont in 1983, the Grammy-nominated band was included in the Top 10 Grossing Concert Tours in North America from 1995-2000 and from 2002-2004. Phish has released 11 studio albums, six concert videos and a series of 44 complete live concert CDs, including 13 on its own JEMP Records. Its series of full concert downloads on livephish.com, the band’s digital download store, currently totals 91.
Tickets for Phish at Shoreline are on sale March 29th at 12 Noon at www.LiveNation.com, the Shoreline box office (between Noon and 2pm on the 29th) or charge by phone at 877-LYV-ONLY. Tickets are $49.50 for reserved seating and general admission plus applicable service charges.

SAN FRANCISCO, Ca. – Billy Joel and Elton John, the most successful and longest-running concert pairing in pop history, will reunite for their Face 2 Face tour with two Bay Area shows on Saturday, November 14th at ORACLE Arena in Oakland and Tuesday, November 17th at HP Pavilion at San Jose. This will be Billy Joel and Elton John’s first performance together in the Bay Area since February of 2001.
"The great thing about performing with Elton is that he is such a good piano player and that makes me have to dig deep to keep up with him, not to mention I've got the best seat in the house-only one piano away from Elton John!” said Billy Joel.
“I love touring with Billy. I have the greatest respect for him and we’re such good friends,” Elton John said.
Concert dates announced this year for the Face 2 Face tour immediately sold-out and include two concerts at Toronto’s Air Canada Center, and multiple nights at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, Philadelphia’s Citizen Bank Ballpark, in addition to concerts in Atlanta, Detroit, Houston, and Tampa.

To travel the globe and see beautiful places, while entertaining fans from every corner of the earth is massive. I promise tons of special surprises while looking forward to pushing myself very hard, performing around 100 shows over the next year, and in the process I hope to bank up some serious frequent flyer miles," said Cook.

Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood in Oakland
ERIC CLAPTON and STEVE WINWOOD
On Heels of Three Exclusive Shows at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, Duo Announce Local Performance at ORACLE Arena in Oakland
Tickets are on sale Monday, March 2nd at 10am
(San Francisco, CA) – After their historic three-nights at Madison Square Garden, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood announced today a local performance at the ORACLE Arena in Oakland on June 29th at 8:00pm. Tickets for the Oakland performance are on sale Monday, March 2nd at 10am at www.LiveNation.com.
After a stunning collaboration at the Chicago Crossroads Guitar Festival in July of 2007 and much speculation, Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton announced three eagerly anticipated concerts at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Those shows featured the artists performing together in a varied set list with Blind Faith classics and solo hits from each artist. Critics acclaimed the shows as historic and some of the best Clapton Winwood work ever. The Oakland tour stop promises more of the same collaborative musicianship that made these men legendary award-winning artists.
Both Winwood and Clapton have long and prestigious musical careers with countless honors and awards to their names. Their musical paths connected in 1969 with the formation of Blind Faith, a group that pioneered the fusion of rock and blues into tremendous studio and stage success. Despite critical and popular acclaim, the band was short-lived with only one album and a brief 1969 tour that debuted July 12 at Madison Square Garden and ended August 24th in Hawaii. Since that final show, Winwood and Clapton have remained friends, but have only performed together a few times over the years for an occasional song at a charity event. The 2008 Madison Square Garden shows were the first full Winwood-Clapton concerts in 40 years. Additionally, 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of Blind Faith and 40 years since they performed to over 100,000 people in Hyde Park, London.
Steve Winwood is currently signed to Columbia Records and released an album of new music, NINE LIVES in 2008. Eric Clapton’s compilation album Complete Clapton was released in 2008 on Reprise Records. The duo’s captivating performance at the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago can be seen as part of a 2-disc DVD available now from Rhino Entertainment.
Tickets for Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood at ORACLE Arena are $149.50, $89.50 and $65.50 for reserved seats plus applicable charges and are on sale Monday, March 2nd at 10am at www.LiveNation.com, charge by phone at 415-421-TIXS or at the ORACLE Arena box office.

LOCAL TOUR DATES ARE MAY 20th at ORACLE ARENA and MAY 21st at HP PAVILION
TICKETS FOR LOCAL SHOWS ARE ON SALE JANUARY 26th at 10am
San Francisco, California (January 14, 2009) - The legendary rockers Fleetwood Mac have added 29 more shows to their upcoming Greatest Hits "Unleashed" Tour in April and May, it was confirmed today by Live Nation. The new tour dates come on the heels of the first leg of dates announced in December which have nearly sold out. Two local Bay Area performances have been set for May 20th at ORACLE Arena in Oakland and May 21st at HP Pavilion in San Jose. Tickets for both of these shows will go on sale Monday, January 26th at 10am at www.LiveNation.com.
The sure to be historic "Unleashed" Tour, beginning on March 1st in Pittsburgh, is an epic cross-country trek featuring 44 shows in major markets. The tour will include all of the Mac's many greatest hits from over the course of the band's extraordinary career. Fleetwood Mac, the multi-Grammy winning, multi-platinum Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are back on the road for the first time in five years following several successful solo projects.
Tickets for the Live Nation produced tour go on sale to the public on January 26th at www.LiveNation.com and www.ticketmaster.com. American Express cardmembers will have early access to tickets beginning January 17th at 10am local time through January 25th at 10pm local time at www.ticketmaster.com, excluding Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. American Express presale tickets for the Philadelphia show are available at www.comcasttix.com and Houston at www.veratix.com.
Tickets for the local show are priced at $149.50, $79.50 and $49.50 for reserved seats plus applicable charges. The show time for each of these events is 8pm. More information is available at www.LiveNation.com.
"We love our band and think the title of the tour "UNLEASHED" perfectly describes how we all feel when we get on stage together - especially in 2009. We’re so happy to get back out on the road, perform everyone's favorite songs and see our fans,” said the band in a joint statement.
In other great Fleetwood Mac news, the iconographic 'RUMOURS' CD (certified Diamond ® signifying sales of over 10 million units by the RIAA) is scheduled to be re-released as part of a special CD/DVD boxed set on Reprise Records in conjunction with the tour dates. The boxed set will include several songs from "Rumours" in their original demo form along with unreleased tracks recorded during that time period and never-before-seen DVD footage of the band from the "Rumours" era.

Tickets for both of these shows will go on sale Monday, January 26th at 10am at www.LiveNation.com.
